API Versioning

A newer version of the Workiva Public API is now available. See our 2026-01-01 Upgrade Guide for guidance on transitioning to the new version. For details on API versioning, see the Versioning documentation.

Use Workiva’s 2022-01-01 (default) REST API to exchange your OAuth credentials (clientID and clientSecret) for a token.

You can then programmatically manage items in the Workiva platform, such as:

• Users, Organizations, and Workspaces

• Files and folders

• Tasks

• Documents

• Spreadsheets

• Presentations

• Organization users

• Records and reports
